What rear diff's work for 98 Runner

I have a 98 Runner auto 4.10 gears. What years will fit? Also i dont have a locking rear diff. The junk yard has 2 runners both v6 but older like 95 or 94. Thanks

Any eight inch (non-trd) 3rd member will bolt right up.

The pinion flange may need to be swapped, if it won't bolt to your driveline. (can't remember the years that it changed.)

Great info here.....

The 94 or 95 V6 diffs will physically fit, but you'd have to check the ratios. And they won't have lockers either, only 96-2000 had them.
