i'm not sure what oil to use in my 87 4runner. the engine is 22RE like it says in the topic. what do you guys use? and do you use synthetic?

I use just regular 10w-30. I like Mobil Drive Clean which you can get at wall mart for like 1.17 a quart.

Most people say dont uses synthetic because it can find small little cracks that the dino oil couldnt find for the first 150k.
