All these funnies with guages/sensors/feedback systems with Toyotas (I love 'em anyway) makes me somewhat thankful they don't make fly-by-wire passenger aircraft.

just filled up today. light came on at 220mi on the tank of gas, filled up at around 240mi, filled 15.2 gallons. that's been my average city driving, around 220mi the light comes on and i usually fill up even though i've heard the guage is messed up and reads lower than it actually is. i don't mind filling up every couple weeks.

I've come close to a 16 gallon fillup but it's usually a 15 gallon fillup when I start to feel I've driven with the light on too long.

If anybody does burn up a pump I think it's the same pump (Walbro) that's the upgrade in the 1st and 2nd gen Eclipses/Talons/Lasers and can be had for around $100 but the install would be a PITA.

The most i ever put in mine was 15.2 and that was yesterday.. I was at 345 miles on the tank. this seems to be better mileage thn most. Is there anything that might be wrong? Or do I just have an incredible 4runner?

I usually fill up between E and 1/8th tank and it's at 250 miles. It only takes 12.4 gallons everytime.I know somethings up with the sender so as long as I know it will go farther, i'm good.
