What grade are the oil pan bolts?

What grade are the oil pan bolts?

I snapped the head off one of the oil pan bolts, the one that bolts into the rear main seal gasket plate.

What grade are these bolts? Can I run a grade 8.8 that I found at Ace/Lowes/Home Depot?

You can get grade 2 or ungraded. They don't take a lot of force.

Most likely the stock bolts are grade 8 metric which would be equivalent to grade 5 SAE.
No issue with a grade 10.9 metric bolt which would be equivalent to grade 8 SAE.
