What front lift?

What front lift?
First of all this is for a 3rd gen 4Runner. I thought that I was all ready to get the OME heavy duty front and rear coils and shocks, but since Ive been on this board I have noticed a ton of people running SAW's on the front. Future plans for my 4Runner would be 285/75/16 Revos, TJM bumper (or maybe Jaos grill guard), and thats pretty much it. What I am worried about is with the OME's, major rubbing issues once the TJM is installed. Where as with the SAW's I could just crank them up a little. But is it really worth the extra money? Could I get away with some trimming and save the money on SAW's. Or the extra money that woulda gone into SAW's put into a body lift? Would the 285's rub with the stock bumper and OME's?
To sum it up, I want to get away with 285's, OME heavy duty's, and a TJM bumper with no rubbing. What should I do?
Sorry for the long thread and thanks for your help guys.

If you run the OME 882's heavy duty then you shouldn't have a problem with rubbing, but those are not recommended unless you are sure you are going to put a bumper on it, because they are very stiff and make your front end ride higher, therefore putting a lot of stress on your CV joints even after a differential drop. The 881's will give way a lot with a bumper and will require you to look for some help up front to keep them from rubbing too bad once a bumper is installed. I have SAW's and I love them, but they are expensive, but the beauty of being able to customize the height of your lift at any time was worth it to me. Also make sure you pound the pinch weld up in the wheel well to create a little extra room. Do a search and see what you can find, many guy have done the exact lift you are wanting to do.

depends .. you going for looks or are you goingto actully wheel it? refering to the JAOS bull bar
if its just looks go with the OME .. b/c if your going to wheel, your going to want to put a winch in there ... and then you'll needs, SAWs or spacers or something.
If cash is tight .. just wait a month or two till you have an extra $300 for the SAWs. It will be worth it

This truck will be used mainly on road. I would say about 90% road, and 10% off. Therefore, I think I'm gonna save the money and get the OME's, and if I am rubbing too bad, get a 1 inch body lift.
Now that were on the Body Lift topic, how do you avoid the gap created between the bumper and headlights that is so common with body lifts?
