What do you think of this light mounting set-up?



I had the 100-watt spot lights on the roof rack but sometimes like to remove the rack for highway jaunts and want to add a rack fairing to reduce wind noise. The two outer flood lights mount right to the bumper using the pre-drilled holes. I mounted the two inner spot lights using a custom bracket.

Will this block air flow too much?
Does it look too obnoxious with all those lights in front?

Just a thought here, I don't know what type of weather you get, but if you get a lot of fog, posibly do away with one set and replace them with fogs?

Not sure if the higher location of the two ones you added from your roof would work for fogs, as fog lights work better when they are lower.

 

Looks good... air flow should be fine. I ran around with 4 lights across my grille for a while too, no probs.

 

Thanks guys. I am getting used to the look of all four of them on the bumper now.

The floods (the two on the outside) have a real wide beam and work a lot like fog lights. We do not get that much fog and the floods work great for lighting up the trail.

The spots are a pencil beam that work better the higher up they are, but still punch out quite a ways from the bumper.
