I recently purchased my first toyota 4x4 pickup a 1997 tacoma xcab 4cyl auto with open diffs. My local dealer was no help in telling what size the diff.is. Every thing is stock. I am all ready tired of no posi in the rear. Looking on line adds for lockers there is qeastion of 7.5 or 8 inch. How do I tell?

 

8 inch. 7.5 is the front IFS

 

wait....if he already doesn't have the locker in the back, doesn't that make it the 8.4" diff?
