Usually 3 or 12 months on parts and labour, depending on the parts.

If there's a problem (say the crank pulley falls off) and you take it to another dealership in another city, they will usually fix the problem and contact the previous dealership and send them the bill for labour so that you don't see the re-repair charges.

It happens. Crank pulleys can fall off, even when properly torqued.

Here in Vancouver, the local dealerships charge $34.95 for an oil change. Plus tax. Includes oil, filter, disposal fees, labour, and a car wash.

I was told that I got a lifetime warranty on all the parts because they are all oem AND installed by a certified toyota service department. As far as labor...I have no idea.

Lifetime warranty? No way.

Parts and labour is usually 3-6 months I think.

If you have the parts INSTALLED at a Toyota dealer and the parts are genuine Toyota parts, then yes, LIFETIME on the parts. I still am not sure on the labor

Buzzzzzzz! (the wrong answer gameshow kind of buzz)

The correct answer was:

"WHAT IS COVERED:

http://www.toyota.ca/NWS/media/own/w.../war_acc_e.gif

The replacement parts warranty can differ depending upon when the parts are installed and who does the installation.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED:

* Parts replaced under extended retail muffler, shock absorber and battery warranties.
* Replacements required due to wear, discolouration, deterioration, deformation, fading and normal noise.
* Replacement required after 6 months on the following items would be considered wear and non-warrantable:
o Bulbs (Except Headlamps)
o Wiper Blades and Inserts
o Fuses
o Filters"

I am a NON-MECHANICAL kind of guy; so I paid the dealership to do the 90,000 mile stuff; & had them put in a new timing belt & water pump; however; it was in the middle of winter & the service guys spent at least 2 hours working on my 4WD - I had the 4WD not engaging or disengaging light keeps blinking problem.

I could have never done the work they did; so to me it was worth the money.

Yeah ornery, you beat me to it. I was wrong on what was covered. Here it is...as you already posted though...

Lifetime Guarantee

Toyota's confidence in its products and commitment to customer satisfaction are demonstrated by outstanding warranty coverage including a lifetime guarantee on replacement mufflers, exhaust pipes, shock absorbers, struts and strut cartridges. When purchased at and installed by a Toyota dealership, these Genuine Toyota Parts are guaranteed to the original purchaser for the life of the vehicle. This includes coverage for parts and labor.

I thought it was all the parts they sold, but I stand corrected. Apparently, I have a 12 month unlimited mile warranty on the parts that I had installed. Ummm, thanks Ornery, for correcting me, but I was coming on here to correct my mistake myself. LOL.

I would have spent the money without thinking twice about it. Theres nothing worst than trying to save a buck by going to some schmuck to fix your car than a month later being stuck on the side of the road because the work wasnt done right and the mechanic that originally did the work is no where to be found or worst yet his wife get stranded because DirtyRice decided to go the cheap route.

Now if his truck breaks down because of said repairs he can have it towed to the nearest dealership and they fix it no questions asked.
