I have a 95 4runner and it seems everytime i turn my wheel almost all the way to the left and sometimes the right when i start moving it makes a weird like scraping/poping sound but it moves fine it just does that. im not sure if it is bad or what it even is? im guessing it is my suspension arms.

 

search for steering stops. its basicly a bold head that used to ahve plastic covering it, but over time it wears out. you can use some axle grease and it will go away for a while.. but yes its normal.

Glad to hear that other people have the same problem. Mine i notice won't do it if i coast with the wheel turned all the way but as soon as i let the clutch out and gas it a little i get that nasty noise and everyone in the parking lot looks. Good thing i don't care if they look.
