Weird idle up

2004 3.4 L tacoma 80xxx miles

I have an idle up even when the a/c is off.
Is this normal? The only way to stop it is shutting off the fan. Is the truck supposed to idle up w/o a/c for fan speed increase for cooling?
Thanks in advance.

Operating temperature, no defroster, and the AC is off. The AC button is not lit.
It is the weirdest thing. I disconnected the battery and let the ecu reset and it didnt do it for a few weeks. Then it started doing the non AC random idle up again.
The idle up is identical to the AC idle up.

Does this cause the MIL to trip ??Any non normal idle most often will cause a PO505 code

Have you looked to see if the compressor clutch is engaged when you turn the fan switch on??

No codes i checked with a diagnostic reader.
How do i check the compressor clutch?
I assume it is on the AC compressor somwhere by the belt pulley?

It is on the front of The AC compressor

When in it gets system voltage the electromagnet pulls in allowing the belt to turn the compressor .

Quite easy to see the difference.
