Hey, just wondering whose oxygen sensors are covered by the 8 year (?) emissions warranty? my '97 says that it is only covered by the 3 year warranty...

 

Yea, I have wondered for a long time why this is. I have never found the answer.

I just had my O2 sensor replaced in my '94 by the local Toyota dealer under warranty. I happened to be browsing the Owner's Manual for maintenance info. when I ran across the section for the 02 which stated that parts and labor would be covered by Toyota up to 80,000 miles. I was at 84,000, but the dealer got the okay from Toyota to replace it under warranty anyways. Sweet, saved $220 on that one
