Thumbs up Very Impressive DYNO Run...

I got to meet up with one of our Yotatech members here in the Bay Area today (TRDLOMAN on the forums-- Great guy...) and got the privilege to witness one of the most powerful 3.4L Supercharged Tacoma engine around --- I have never seen a 3.4L engine put out these kind of DYN0 results... 269.4 RWHP & 324.7 Torque -- See DYNO Sheet below... Dave was running the TRD Supercharger with the TRD 7th Injector kit & using the URD addtional Injector controller-- Many of you may think less of the TRD 7th Injector kit but the results are amazing...May even give others second thoughts...I have the URD kit myself and I was stumped to see this set up outperform mine...I have yet to see anyone out there or here that can come up with these kind of numbers... anyone...???

We're talking 359.2 HP at the crank Wow...!!!

Way cool! Those are impressive #'s to say the least.

I wonder what's with the dip in power at 4700RPM?

I'm not far from their shop.... I'd like to know what numbers I'm making with my rebuilt motor. How much was it? Did they give you a few runs?

I'd highly recommend these guys at DynoSpot-- Great & friendly people...Dave (TRDLOMAN) took my suggestion and he went there and gave all positive feed back also... I was basically there today to be a witness to the DYNO results to shut up some punk on Custom Tacos... as far as what they charge you're looking at about $125 for just Dyno testing or $185 for custom Dynotune... as many runs as you need to get whatever you are aiming for... I'd call first to verify-- these were the guys that did my URD kit install & tune-- excellent job done...

This is a quote from DAVE (TRDOLMAN)

"At about 4700 RPM on this run the ECU pulled timing then added it back very sloppily. Got that squared away though. Seems like this truck makes highest torque at around 3800 RPM. That's a good thing. I don't have to rev the crap out of it to have fun. All is good with the truck!!"

Thats hot, what other mods were done airbox mods? 5spd or auto?

You may want to look at TRDOLMAN's profile... for detailed Mod's on his truck there is quite a list... But being its an AUTO is what really impressed me the most... I test drove this baby and it hauls A#* !!

He definately has a few mods on there for sure!
Correct me if I am wrong but, it looks like the added power is coming from extra boost by using a smaller pulley on the S/C.
With the 7th injector and a URD injector control kit, I am sure he could keep up with the fuel demands.

Only way you would beat those numbers would be to run a water injection setup and up the boost yet again.

Yes, the knock sensor was letting me know that I needed to go to the next larger size nozzle on the water injection. The tranny valve body has been done by John at IPT. Trust me, as Gadget said, there is a point of diminishing returns by going too high on boost with a roots type supercharger and when you reach that point there is not much you can do to gain.

Your truck has a very similar set-up to blink (doug) here on Yotatech. You guys should chat.

I got to drive his truck and it was VERY torquey at low RPM. I keep telling him to get the VB upgrade because it sure does a slow burn into 2nd gear at WOT. Kinda scared me to be honest. I thought I was going to be the one to grenade it. :pat:

So you do have water injection.....then that amount of HP and torque makes sense then.
I think if you start looking for more you will be into a centrifugal S/C with an intercooler.
Nice setup tho!!!

It's that Poweraid TB spacer.
edit: my bad. I thought the water injection plate was a TB spacer.

Hey Dave.... how much more boost does the URD pulley give? I know it's smaller, but I don't see Brian or Gadget stating the additional pressure...
