I was just reading on Tundra Solutions that Toyota goofed and they were supposed to include vanity mirror on all SR5's and above. Has Toyota contacted anyone yet to resolve the issue?

 

I have lit vanity mirrors on both my visors.

 

so do I.. i remember reading reviews before I got the car that said it didn't have them, but it does.

My Sport Edition did not come with them...

 

My Sport version has two lighted ones...that I was not expecting. Happy.

 

My SR5 has them, too. Wasn't expecting them, although I don't find visor mirrors very useful anyway.

 

I just bought my 03 SR5 10 days ago. While I was test driving several 4Runners I found the V8's I drove did not have the dual vanity mirrors but the V6's did.
My SR5 has the "AP" option and it came with the dual lighted vanity mirrors.

 

I have an '03 Sport that did not come with vanity mirrors. No big deal for me, but it really pisses the wife off. $30K for a vehicle, and they can't throw in a set of $2 mirrors?

If anyone knows of a way I could get/replace my visors with a set that has built-in vanity mirrors, please let me know.

are they supposed to be lighted or not? I have a sport v8, and I have vanity mirrors on both side, but they are non-lighted kind, just a slider to open and close it. should I contact toyota? people are reporting that toyota will order the vanity mirrors for u and have the dealer install them free of charge and will pay you 10$ for the trouble.

oh supposingly the mirrors are backorder right now until the end of this month?

 

mine are lighted but i have a limited i dont know if there is a difference. CHris

I purchased my SR5 V8 Back in January. NO Vanity Mirrors at all. My wife is pissed! I'm so glad you guys brought this up. I called the stealer and they are looking into it. Can anyone help give me a TSB # or a name of their dealer who replaced them with the ones that actually have mirrors?

If you have already called their 800 number and submitted your information on replacement visors, you should get something in the mail sometimes this century. (hehe)

Also they will send ya a $10 gift certificate for the mess up. I got my gc so I'm happy.

Just tell them that your 4runner didn't come w/ visors and you need them. They will ask for your name/addy etc etc and put u on a list for the mailing on when the parts will be available. Last I heard this was going to be resolved in Feb/Mar but apparently not. I followed up w/ Toyota and found out that it was pushed back to May but apparently May has come and gone. I'm suspecting the recall notice to come sometime this yr (end of the year) I hope.

Thanks for the information. My "03 Sport didn't come with any and my wife was pissed as well. Just to cool her jets I went to Autozone and bought a cheap one to stick up there but it looks like crap. Thanks for the 800 number. I am going to call them first thing Monday morning.

 

Maybe you guys should quit worrying so much about vanity.
