Vac Guage help

hey everyone, I got a quick question. I just hooked up my vacuum guage. I was just wondering if this was the right place to hook it up. I was also wondering if anyone knows if the needle is suppose to vibrate slightly while it moves at slow speeds? when i press the gas and RMP's go up fast, then it's fine, but when i press the gas slightly, the arrow kinda vibrates sometimes.

Thanks for all the help.

I can't really tell from the pic what you have it hooked up to but any line which sees direct manifold vacuum would be fine to tap into. It is also common for the vacuum needle to vary a bit at idle but should smooth out (as you mention) at higher RPMs. It sounds like you are doing it correctly.
