Urgent Help!! Ignition Locked??!!!
#22
With your VIN you can get the key matched by the dealer or the key code from the original key and a lock smith can match the new tumbler to your key. I had a damaged door luck, unsuccessful break-in, replaced and rekeyed for about $50.00. If I remeber right a new ignition cylindar is around $150.00.

WD-40 is only good for making things rust. You spray kerosene on anything that has an oil film on it and you just made it very unoily. While the WD-40 is wet its slick, once it dries....you are fuct.

Ignition Cylinder Locked
I can't turn my key to start an 86 truck. I have tried shaking the wheel while turning key, I have tried pulling on wheel while pushing release button and turning key, I have tried hitting cussing and about everything I could do but no success.
So I removed the steering column covers. The manual gives direction to replace ignition cylinder, but step 2 says to turn the Key to ACC before removing cylinder. Unfortunately I can't do that.
Any suggestions?
