upgrading tranny after supercharging?
I've been thinking about supercharging my 97 4runner but I've been concerned about the transmission holding up. I've been reading up at gadget online and he recommends having the valve body sent out to level 10 to be beefed up. So what I want to know is there anyone out there who has had problems with there tranny slipping because of the etxra power? I'm also running 285/75/16 with my stock gears is another reason why I'm concerned about the slipping problem.

Use IPT. I'd say get it done to avoid problems down the road. I had John at IPT do mine and it was great. It was a little harsh at first but I liked it and didn't care, but now it smoothed out and feels like it wasn't done. I should have had something a little stiffer done, but oh well.
