*update* pictures of broken front diff

As requested, here are a few pictures of my front diff that I broke last wednesday. Although Ive done many mechanical jobs, this is my first time opening up a differential. (peaked inside the cover of my old ZX rear once)

Interesting... I am AMAZED at how small the spider gears are and how much stress they have to take. They must be some seriously hard steel. They are not unbreakable though, as the pictures show. :pat:

I wanna know what I'm up against in case I have to change mine. It's still mysteriously leaking oil from the top.

thought it was your spider gears, that's the weak link in a stock diff....
