I am getting ready to do several mods in the next 1-2 months in an attempt to keep the bank's computers busy and to try and distinguish my Runner from all the other ones running (no pun intended) around Birmingham. The list includes

1. Painting the black "slats", Toyota logo, and that black line on the upper grill millenium silver to match the rest of the 4Runner
2. Painting the lower valence millenium silver and installing some Piaa 1000X driving lights on either side of the front license plate

3. Painting the rear license plate surround millenium silver
4. Replacing my Philips Blue Vision bulbs in my headlamps and foglamps with the new Raybrig Sonic white bulbs (http://store.yahoo.com/racinglab/raywhitsonh4.html) and some Piaa white LED wedge bulbs in the corner lamps and sidemarkers
5. Adding sidemarkers (http://store.autotoys.com/cgi-bin/wfp53024.storefront)
6. Installing front and rear Bilsteins
7. And last but not least, maybe a Yakima rack.

Any other suggestions, other than a lift, to give me that unique look I'm looking for? Remember, rice is bad!!! Later guys and gals.

I have a 92 and there are some other 2nd gens driving around here, but mine stands out for two reasons. The first is the Manik grille guard and the second is the set of PIAA 520 fog lights mounted on the bad boy. I really really really like the Manik grille guard. It is not made for the abuse that an ARB might take, but it serves its purpose. Also, the 520s are AWESOME. They are brighter than day and look great on the grille guard. I would recommend going that route, because they will most certainly be able to distinguish your Runner from the others with those two items! :fireman:

I wish dude, I wish. I may could swing the supercharger, but it's all the accessory upgrades (tranny valve body, torque converter, fuel delivery, etc) that scare me. Plus I love my truck so much that and I do not want to jeopardize the reliability for a few more horses. The first time I heard any pinging I would probably have a fit!!!

I had the same feelings before I bought the SC 2yrs. ago...but ever since I had the SC installed, I do not have any pinging problems. I have not even done any "fuel delivery" mods..since your 4Runner is more newer than mine, I bet you will have no problems either. Just my .02 cents

Since you're doing alot of painting, how about doing the faux Black Pearl paint? I believe there was a thread about someone using RC model "tint" colored paint and spraying their emblems. I think Black Pearl looks best on silver 4runners. I'm probably going to do this mod in the near future.
