type of Catalytic coverter???

what type of catalytic converter are on 1990-1995 4runners. the question is because i am replacing mine, was wanting to know if it reduces NOx or just HC and CO. thanks

I'm not sure on this but I think three way... I posted about getting an aftermarket cat myself, so hopefully between this thread and mine, we'll figure something out,.

at truckperformance.com, you can pick the year vehicle and it'll show you a direct fit cat... almost twice as expensive as a universal one though

they test smog for all 3 of those gases, so i would bet all 3 need to be reduced by that cat... and if they dont need to be reduced... it wouldnt hurt any if all 3 were reduced anyways....

follow up:
it is a three way catalytic converter
i replaced mine, and comparing the failing test with the passing, everthing was either reduced by half, third or quarter including NOx
