WOULD THE 4X4 TRANSMISSION BOLT UP TO MY TRUCK AND DIFFERENTIAL, OR WOULD I NEED TO GET A CUSTOM DRIVESHAFT BUILT?
I have an 89 Toyota pickup with the 22R(carb). I have a 4 speeed in it. I put a locker in the rear differential and 31's on it.
When I am in the sand the motor has a hard time. I end up winding 1st out to over 30 miles an hour!
I would love the gears on the 4 speed, if I had 100 more hps and could wind my engine out to 8000 rpms. -but I dont.
I am considering putting a 4x4 transmission. I think with the extra gears I would be able to muscle this truck through most anything.
Does anyone have any details to this?
