I am running the tundra front setup with 2 pairs of top out spacers and the shorter LC coils in the rear. I have recently added a Mile Marker PE8000 up front and now my front end sags...alot. I have a TJM T15 up front and a custom rear bumper. Any suggestions as to how to get the front closer to being level with the rear (i realize it won't be even due to the length of the LC coils).

did it not do that before the winch? really the only things you could do are get some spacers up front to level it out but not imporive suspension or get stiffer shocks up front. the OMEs i run up front are the ones meant for a custom bumper/winch combo

EDIT: I just read you have top out spacers so I don't think adding even more would be wise. Its looking like longer/stiffer front springs...

 

It did thave some rake before the winch, but not that much...I already have the Tundra Acess Cab TRD 4x4 springs...don't know what would be stiffer

 

I got a friend with the same exact set up but with a milemarker m10500 winch and his rear end sorta leveled back out after a few weeks, but he also has a tool chest in the back too so im sure that helps level it.

 

Is it possible the taco struts could be part of the problem? You put used struts on right?

 

Yea i did get them used but only 23k on them when i got them

 

IIRC, struts dont give you any amount of lift. If you have bad struts, you will definately be able to notice it. Try throwing some weigiht in the rear to help it sag. Maybe they just need to be broken in??

Your front looks to be a good height, its just the rear springs are huuge. Have you tried using a different spring? Do you carry a load in the rear?

 

How much does your new rear bumper weigh? Could your stock bumper have weighed more?

 

I havent tried using a different spring in the rear, but i got the LC coils used w ~80k miles on them, so they should be good and sagged, i have a sub box and some tools in the back, nothing too heavy...I'm sure the rear bumper i have on there weighs equal to, if not more than the stock bumper.

 

Lower the rear.... OME 891s would do it.

 

I honestly think the rear is your issue. It's way higher than mine with the LC coils.

 

keep in mind the tires ae 265/75's and i have a 2" BL...i'd rather not lower the rear as i'm saving up for a set of 305's

 

if you dont want to lower the rear, than raise the front? The problem is in the rear, and if you dont want to mess with it, then do the fronts. I would avoid raising the front any more, you may have issues with your CVs.

The rear is huge!

I think bamachem ran 305s with the tundra lift and downeys in the rear.

I think you may have the wrong LC coils in the rear.

 

The rear really isn't the problem, i got the exact same color codes as listed in multiple threads and they are the same as steve (sonoran steel) sells in his kits)...before i put the winch in i was getting ~ 3.5" int the rear and 2.5-2.75 in the front...with the winch the front is noticeably lower...the rear has not changed, i am happy with its height...i'm looking for soltions to get the front back to the same height as before (2.5 to 2.75" of lift), and i'm running a 1" diff drop and had no problems with CV's w/ 2.5 2.75" of lift.

The rear really isn't sky high...its how low the front sits that makes it appear that way

 

Albuquerque...What struts are you using up front? I have the blue tokico's and it seemed that they were limiting the extension of the front springs when originally installed...i may be totally off, but i'm jus trying to figure out whats goin on

I used the winch once and it broke during use! So now i have a little while to figure this out while Costco gets a replacement...kinda considering just getting the full refund and payin a little more for a M8000...I'm sure i would thank myself in the future
