Should I or shouldn't I spend the money for a TRD cat back exhaust system for my '02 4Runner? I currently have a Magnaflow muffler only.

 

Only my opinion: If you want the nice look of the catback and you don't mind spending over $500 to get it, go for it. I don't think you'll get much more improvement (although minimal improvement) in performance on TRD catback compared to your magnaflow. Also, others that have salt on the roads have complained about it rusting out.

 

I put one on my sc'd 02 when I first got it --- I only had it on for 3 days before I couldn't stand it anymore - it had the biggest fart can sound ever!!! It also created an annoying resonance right under the driver's floor board that drove me crazy.

I would say don't waste your money.

i like mine alot. if you are unsure about spending that much money, check ebay. a couple of weeks ago there were two one there really cheap.

 

Stay with the Magnaflow and spend the 500 on other mods.
