Transmission Cooler Hose Route?

OK - stupid me. I am re-assembling my 1991 3vz after buying remanufactured heads - not a job for the impatient.

In addition to the factory manuals, I have a Chiltons (not very good) and Mitchell PC manual. I also took a ton of pic's as I disassembled. It didn't occur to me to take pics of the bottom of the radiator, however.

I am staring at the two hoses (one longer and straight, one shorter and curved) that each run from the bottom of the radiator to their own metal pipe coming from the tranny. They carry transmission fluid.

I don't know which one goes to what metal tube.

Thanks in advance,

David

p.s. everything they say about the ridiculous exhaust crossover headaches is true.

If I've hooked mine up correctly ther right rubber hose goes to the right metal line. Left to left

Where is your fan?
I don't see an electric or a mechanical one?

Front end squished. No room for fan till I get the frame pulled. I hope. Got a Taurus fan all ready to go.

Marc - thanks. I needed this badly.

I guessed right, but that's a rarity.

I appreciate the pic.

Take Care,

David

Unless you have an aftermarket aux trans cooler, it doesn't matter. All the trans cooler in the radiator consists of is a small piece of tubing which the fluid passes thru. The direction of travel doesn't matter.
