trans temp ?

Installed temp gauge the other day, finally got a chance to drive it. Temp seems way to low for everything to be hunky dory. After about 25 minutes of highway and city driving temp only gets to about 140-150 range. its a mechanical sunpro gauge from advance auto. Sensor is installed in a T fitting in the factory cooler line going into the drive side of the radiator. i thought the normal operating temp should be more in the 180-200 range for the driving i did. Do i have it put in the right location? figured that would be the hottest fluid as thats the line that comes from the torque converter. any ideas?

What was the outside temps that day? It will vary alot depending on that, especially if you have an extra ATF cooler that is cooled by air.

Mine often runs in that range too or even cooler in the winter.
