i need to know if the addapter for a 89 pickup would match up to my 4 runner for trailer wiring.

 

I bought a pickup plug and play wiring harness for my 88 4Runner but it doesn't quite work as plug n play. I had to cut 1 wire and lengthen it to reach the passenger side taillight. But I'd rather cut the trailer harness wire than one of the factory wires and it works great.
