my family
1983 longbed 4x4 (me)
1993 Tercel (shared, dad and me)
2000 Tundra (dad)
2000 Accord (mom, she liked the looks better than the camry.)
the only reason we have the toyotas, is because in 93, toyota had a special, all tercel's nationwide for $7,300, and my dad was sick of the american car crap. "it is the best $7 grand I ever spent", he says. outlasted the dodge, and the chevy, and was less than half the price. i love Toyota.

4 out of 5 people in my family prefer Toyotas. I don't think we'll ever get the oakie to give up his old Ford, he'll probably want to be buried in it.

My parents got me started... but strayed
My parents got me started on Toyota's...
They bought a 1984 Toyota Cressida Station Wagon (wish I had held on to it, quite collectible). After the tranny died (darn Toyota auto-trannys), I replaced the tranny and it became mine. I loved that car, so versatile and luxurious (seriously! it was the predecessor to Lexus). However, the folks sold it for $500. It had 260K on it when they sold it. They are now on a Honda.
First Car: 1984 Toyota Cressida Wagon
Second Car: 1989 Toyota Corolla (I replaced two auto-trannies in that one!)
Third Car: 1998 Toyota T100 4x4 (had an unfortunate accident with a highway lamp post, see pics on my website )
Fourth Car: 1998 Toyota T100 4x4 (still going strong!)
I will only ever own Toyotas! There is no point in buying anything else. I'm an engineer and can't figure out how someone would buy anything but Japanese (even German engineering is falling behind Japanese).

yota's....
my family's yotas:
77 corona 4dr sedan
81 celica GT (my bro's first ride)
82 corolla wagon (my first ride - loved it!)
95 camry wagon (my fam's current ride)
98 4runner (mine)
99 4runner (my mom's)
Love em. The only "car problems" I've had is when I've bought something other than a Toyota (like a F.O.R.D. or a VW!)
I'm staying in the family!
