if you can, try to get PPG glass, i believe they make toyota's glass just no TOYOTA stamp on the lower left hand side of the glass.

Try to have it fixed first with the injected glue. I did mine myself on my old Tacoma. It was right in my line of site. After I did the fix it was almost imposible to find. This all depends on the type of chip/crack though. Be careful if the windshield is replaced. My wifes Runner had a cracked windshield before she bought it. It was replaced by cheap glass and is very noticable. Some people have leaks after a new window is put in also, so find a good company to do it.

I got a quote from Safelite glass of $285 + $16.50 for moulding. I originally called another local outfit that will come to your location and do the job. I asked him what kind of glass it would be. He said that since it was so new that there probably was not an after-market brand out there yet so it would be OEM.
Thinking about afterwards and it doesn't make any sense to me.

Back here in reality, there are those of us who actually use our trucks to go off road (you know with dirt and rocks and stuff). It's becoming clear that the windshield on the 4th gen Runners is a weak spot and the paint is truly thin on this model and it's Lexus sibling.

Also, my truck got hit again last week by a huge piece of rubber. It left a nice black mark on my bumper but with a little work it buffed out..
It makes me feel a little better that I'm not the only one getting beat up by the debris.

Gosh thanks Woody. I had no idea that construction sites and gravel trucks could be a problem. Please be sure to spread your tough love wisdom on to others on the board!

Allright fellas, no fighting... no biting
I know we all like that new look of our rigs and get sad
when it starts to fade. But, hey! It won't be new forever!!! Those little dings and what have you add "character" to your rig. So, have some pride in your ride.... and get over it
