Question Toyota Factory Warranty Question

My friend has a Toyota Corolla that is only a few miles away from 60,000. The passenger side electric window does not work properly and the dealer told her that it isn't covered under the warranty. The problem with the window is that it will go down, but won't go back up. You have to send it up in increments; it won't go up all at once.

This sounds a little cheap to me. I would think this would be something covered under the factory warranty. Any ideas? Is this true, or is the dealer just being lazy?

Thanks!

Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving!

If the car is still under warranty I would think that the window problem would be covered. Try another dealer or call Toyota customer service. Try this number for Toyota customer service(800) 331-4331.

Gadget brought up a good point that this type of problem is probably covered under the 35,000 mile warranty, and not the 60,000 mile powertrain warranty.

I think I have my answer.

Thanks all!

Oh yes, the window doesn't have much to do with the powertrain.
