tokico front shock question - (PIC)

I'm going to be removing my SAW's and going back to a coil/shock set-up but I tossed my old hardware (ie. the OEM top plate). I have a line on some new(used) topplates but I'm wondering if i need to get any additional parts or if the Tokicos come with the parts shown on the red below - like the rubber cushions and retainers (not the top plate - i know that's separate)

thanks
John

You should get new bushings and retainers. As far as top plate, nope. There is also a rubber gasket type thinger that goes under the top plate.

If you are running the tundra set up, dont forget to order extended studs and the 3/8" spacer.

Are you saying I should get them with the shocks? or are you saying I should get them - meaning i should buy them from someplace?

Sorry - it's a little confusing.

oh sorry man.

You should receive the bushings, retainers and nut with the shocks....at least thats what I got with me OME set up. It may differ now that I think about it. Call them and ask.

You can get the top plates at advance (strut top mount) for 50 a piece new. Do you think i will need the piece for under the top mount also, or do you think it will come together?

Yes you need the cushion to seat the coil properly to the top plate. It should come with the top plates; with OEM parts they are sold together, top plate and cushion. But used is a way better way to go, you can save a ton.

tokico's do not come with bushings only a top nut..you can get them from a dealer or go poly and get a universal set from energy suspension

Get them from a Tokico dealer or a Toyota dealer - or is that basically one in the same?

yeah, finding the bushings isn't proving to be the hard part - finding the "retainers" is a different story.

heres energy suspension page... http://www.energysuspension.com/pages/toyt1.html

The Tacoma TRD Tokicos I recently bought came with 2 bushings per strut only. no nuts and no retainers.

Can i use the ones for the OME N91S? have not checked if the nut will fit.

Also, should i use the bushings that came with the Tokicos?

Thanks.

The rear LC OEM shocks are the same way. Problem is most people toss the retainers when they get aftermarket stuff. I ended up getting mine off someone very cool for free on ih8tmud. Sonaran steel says they can help out if need front hardware. Have you called Steve?

I didn't get the shocks from Steve plus i live in the Philippines so it would be too much to ask for his help in this case. I'm planning to order the nuts from the Toyota dealer here.
