tires and possibly wheels...

I just purchased my first toyota today and it's a '96 4runner 4cyl manual 4X4. I need to get 2 new tires and was just wondering if it's better to go ahead and get new wheels and tires as a package. It has 31X10.50.15 on it now but I didn't know if I could get lighter rims than the stock ones that might help gas mileage and power. any suggestions?

thanx for the info and time

Lighter? Maybe, will take a lot of research though as that's not a commonly published spec.

Best thing for mileage would be to get a highway tread and run high air pressure. That FOR SURE will help your mileage.
