Well the tires finally got here today.

It took them almost 6 weeks to make it BACK across the big blue Pacific.

I'm going to try and get them mounted and balanced tommorow.

I'm still not sure whether I'm going white out or black out but I'll do the standback and look method Bob and other suggested then tell them how to mount them. I'm leaning to BLACK OUT at this point.

I'll post the pics after I get them mounted.

Maybe after the Revo's are on, I'll be getting closer to a worthy, respectable 4th Gen.

 

You'll love them. I aired them down this past weekend to just 20 psi, not real low, and barely spinned any tires on wet slimy rocks.

In reguards to this I saw a rig with the BFG A/T's go up Slick Rock at the Tellico OHV park in Tellico Plains, TN. I have yet to see any other All Terrian tire make it to Slick Rock, let alone go up the face of it. All I'm saying is that I've seen them in action and that if you are going to wheel the truck, you'd be better off with them then the REVOS. I completely stand behind my statement. If you'd like to see the face of Slick Rock, come on up to Tellico Plains and we can see how a pair of Revos compare to the BFGs. I'd love to see them outperform them. It'd probably save me some money the next time I purcase some tires.

 

My 4th Gen now has the Revos mounted but it's dark outside. I did clean them off with Wesley's and put some shine on them.

Pics to follow. I think they look great and NO RUBBING with stock rims and 265-70-R17.

 

I say you color them to match your body color, (etc. screaming yellow, bloody red, happy rainbow) :wtf: JK. anyways, you can always reverse it when you rotate them,not a big issue. IMH SUVs and Trucks are the only type vehicles that can get away with white lettering out. On cars, they stopped looking good and were almost banned after the 80s and i dont see that trend coming back anytime soon. so my next tires are gonna have whites out just because i can get away with it and it adds a little character. i think BFG AT KOs do look and perform better offroad but REVOs are more realistic all terrain tires for everyday needs in my opinion.

so you have no rubbing but do they look bigger and wider than the 65 or is it hard to tell.

I had a Pathfinder with 255/65 16 and put 265/70 16 on them and the tires looked huge, improved the stance and from the rear looked much better, well from all angles

 

I vote white out. The MTR white lettering seems to hold up real well. I curbed a few letters the other day and was afraid they wouldn't clean up well. A few squirts of Castrol Super Clean and Good as new. Highly Recommended

They look wider from the front and back, (especially the back mudflap) and they do fill the wheel well.

And, yes, NO RUBBING even at full turn.

 

Look forward to the pictures, and great to hear they don't rub cause my Pathfinder in reverse full turn they really rubbed loudly people actually stopped my and thought I lost my transmission

 

Ok here are the pics. I went with the white out and I think it looks pretty good. I can switch them later if I get tired of it.

I haven't driven alot yet but they seem to ride a little firmer than the Dunflops. I'm going to try a few pressures and see what is best. I have tried all sorts of turns and backups and haven't gotten a rub yet.
