time for new timing belt/water pump?
106K, hearing a clicking noise at idle as if one of the belts is hitting something. noise actually seems to come from mid to rear of engine though? I know I am overdue for the timing belt and from what I have read. it's wise to replace the H20 pump as well.
any ideas for the noise, good place to buy a pump, and any tricks to look out for while doing these operations?
Thx a bunch.

Unlikely the noise is the timing belt. But at 106K it is overdue for replacement, here's a write up on how to do it,

Who knows on the noise - probably need more info/investigation - i doubt a belt rubbing would give you a tick. Maybe the fan or a pulley or something else. But if it is coming from the middle to back of the motor - maybe you are just hearing the wonderful ticking of injectors??
As for the timing - hit the search as there are a dozen or two timing belt threads from the past year or less. Even a few recent ones. Lots of good tips and info in those threads. Read them twice.
