when i am driving my 87 pickup sometimes i notice a noise in the front end passanger side. it seems like when i go over smal bumps and sometimes when i turn i hear a small thumping sounds coming from the right side front end. anyone know what i could check to see where its coming from?

 

My first thought is a worn out lower shock bushing. Rubber bushings wear out real fast on my front end, so I use urethane ones.

If the shock mounts are okay, check the ball joints and the tierods.


Also, make sure your lug nuts are tight!

 

what about front cv? if you are 4x4?
how are the tbar seats? what condition is your rack in? or steering stabilizer if you dont have power?
