When I had my throttle body out I noticed the gaskets around it are not full circles like the throttle body itself. Does anyone know why? Or has anyone made them full circles? It would seem to make the engine move more air.

gasket matching is reasonably common and ez to do

 

It's called the "Type-O" mod. Many of us did this mod many moons ago. The SC'r kit comes with the gasket you want or, as mentioned, you can make it an "O" yourself. I didn't really notice anything when I did this mod N/A, but hey, every little bit helps.

 

you can call Brian at URD..they made some copies of the "o" shaped S/C gasket.
