Those with the SC kits

Are any of you guys running an oil catch can inline with the PCV and intake manifold hose?

When I removed my SC, I noticed a lot of oil deposits and gunk build up inside the SC manifold and intake runners.

I'm sure that this is a contributing factor with those seeing detonation.

I'll try and take some pictures.

I know exactly what you mean, and that is a good idea. I never thought of that.

Good idea. I am in the process of making a catch-can for my Celica. It never dawned on me to make one for the 4Runner.

Post up come pics!

I have had this on my mind for a while but haven't gotten around to it. Looking at the intake when chaging my injectors says this couldn't hurt. I know the LS1 guys have to run this mod if they run hard other wise they consume a lot of oil. At least Tacos are not even close to the consumption.

i know that the oil vapors are definitely hurting the octane rating of the air/fuel mixture...

i'm going to try and come up with something that will fit.

They "De-atomize" the oil from the air that goes into your intake via the PCV valve.

Some pics I found:
