Gunslinger-

Check one more spot for me please. Look for this tube on the DRIVER's side exhaust manifold:

Got it. I'll make the correction to the CT list.

Just goes to show guys you need to physically check to see whether or not EGR is present and how many cats you have under the truck.

Oh no I know I dont have an egr truck. I looked, Im just getting confused on different trucks and what exactly each truck will have if it is egr.

I guess what Im getting confused about is this....And kevin I have the same setup as you so you know what Im talking about.

From my understanding the only parts that have to do with the EGR is the part shown in one of the pics above on the drivers side header correct?

So on the stock exhaust there are the two cats and the two sensors. The first A/F sensor before the first cat, Is that going to end up going into the bung at the bottem of Thorley headers? That bung is just replacing the stock one correct?

Refer to my horrible artwork below?

Do yuo get what I am asking? I just cant for the life of me get this straight

Elkaholic:

I could not understand why there is such confusion going on until holy moly... I realized that I posted the wrong picture above. My apologies for the confusion. This is the EGR model - you can see the extension bung present on the drivers side:

Correct. I asked the Thorley guy this exact question. The flange and a few inches of pipe get cut from the CAT pipe and the Thorley flange welded on. Then the AFR sensor goes into the bung on the Thorley header down pipe.

Can anyone get this thread to come up in a search? I can't, and find it bizarre.

yeah that is correct guys. However i dont understand why thorley used a 2 bolt exhuast flange after the collector and 1st afr sensor. Im starting to realize that the flange is pretty hard to get because It was hard for me because i wanted to make a custom down pipe to delete the 1st cat. If it was 3 bolt it woould totally be a completeley boltable solution.

Ok thanks for confirming guys. ya Q I thought you had the wrong pic up but wasnt sure about it.

So my next question about what Speedy posted. Since there isnt much pipe between the stock sensor and cat the new Thorley flange is going to weld up pretty much directly to the cat huh?

And if thats so why is the flange there? For the cat delete, and so they could use the same downpipe for both egr and non egr???
