Thermostat backlight going dim
I have a 2000 Limited 4runner with the digital thermostat. The other night I got in to go somewhere, turned my headlights on, and the green backlight of the thermostat display seemed to stay in the daytime setting (on, but very dim). It's dim enough that I have to turn on the dome light to be able to read it.
Has anyone else had this problem or have any suggestions on how to fix it?

Your options are to pull the faceplate out and check the wires (they usually pull out of the back of the faceplate with or without the bulb - without on mine) or wail on the dash until the wires jiggle back into place (learned from my dad that was how you fixed the stereo in a Volvo...). I've found that my thermostat lights go on and off when I hammer a trail hard at night, too, despite having snugged the wires back in place.
A little hot glue to hold everything together will do once you get the bulb fixed.
STICK a bulb in it

Thermostat backlight
I also encountered this problem the back light of my thermostat was dimmed until they did not work at all. So I also try to search some possible solutions of my problem, but it doesn't work. If I find a solution I will go back and post it.
