Take Westheimer west, pass Hwy.6 and go about 12 miles. This road should still be Westheimer. There is a little stop light BarBQ restaurant/store in Fulshear. It's really a meat smoker but they sell BBQ and have become famous.
That was about six years ago, the way Houston gobbles land its prolly downtown by now.

I know of a couple good backyard bashing type places. email me when you guys are in town and we'll make a couple hours of wheeling of it. It's definately not the Rubicon though, of course.

Take a stick along anyways... in case something breaks
OK guys, you have to have some land w/ some terrain to it where you guys could wheel? Damn shame to have an area that vast and nowhere to go

depends when. I know a dude at my work that I wheel with, he's got a 4runner as well. he just made his sliders a couple weeks ago and dropped in a rear ARB locker. I'm supposed to be getting my sliders from him any day now and then I'll be ready to do some good stuff. maybe I can talk him into making a small trip too. I think he's wheeling in New Mexico right now so I don't think he'll be too hard to convince. just need a place, that's all we're waiting on in this thread.

count me in for any runs in central and south texas. I live in Houston(Sugar Land) and San Antonio..... sounds complicated but i just go inbetween the two as i please..... also i may even look into having a small run on my families property in the hill country.... my grandmother owns 27,000 acres and i always off road there and never seem to cross the same trail twice.....

I have some land that has some pretty tough and steep trails in the mountains (1 mile elevation), but it's 20 miles Southwest of Van Horn on I-10 (2 hours East of El Paso). :pat:
Let me know if anyone is interested. I don't get out there too often, but wouldn't mind doing something at some point. You'd better have some good rock tires though, this isn't East Texas!

96LtdYota, that sounds good to me about grandmas land. I have a freind from San Antonio that lives here but goes back every other weekend or so to visit his parents, a real mommas boy but thinks he's too cool to admit it. anyway, that would be a fun trip, only a couple hour drive from barker cypress and clay where I;m at in HOuston.

Off roadin' in Tejas...
OK guys, it's about time I hop back onto this thread.
I'm up for anything that doesn't have too far of a drive. I'm out in College Station but my parents live in Georgetown (Central Texas) so I usually go there about once every month or two.
My 4runner isn't set up for anything radical so I may have to ride along for that stuff. But I'd like to run what I can and tag along. Let me know what you guys figure out and I'll see if I can make it.
