My friend gave me his cheapo radio shack CB. I am going on a trip with some others for a few days, they all run CB's. I dont want to hard wire it since my Cobra should be here in a week or so, so can i wire the little radio so i can just plug it in the 12v outlet. I havent gone to the store yet to get a plug end, so i figured I would ask here first.

 

Should work just fine.

 

That is how I have mine set up. It stays in the garage until a wheeling trip comes up and then I lay it in the passenger seat and plug it in the lighter. Works fine.
