Temp control knob clicks when turning, seems to be better some times than others, temo seems okay,cold could be colder, hot is hot. 1999 xcab,v6,manual,trd,130K miles. recent work last year includes new brakes,clutch,4wd solenoid(hmm dealer rip?),water pump/timing belt, heater core, a/c part i forgot was replaced a tank leaking. truck runs strong. this is
a pain in my backside, and i suspect effecting the temp to make a bit hot.

at one point in past sterao was stolen, can not say this was cause, but makes me wonder.

thoughts on where to troubleshoot?
