I just got back from my local dealer...had to pick up some parts that I ordered. I also got a TDS Entry Remote...the whole point in me getting this is so that I didn't have to get the door lock switch fixed on the driver's door. But it only has one button on it...do you think that it can lock AND unlock doors?

I COULD go ahead and program it but I am afraid that if it doesn't do what I want it to do and its out of the package they MAY not exchange it for me

Any ideas?!?!

 

Well...I guess none of you know anything about the remotes.

I'm gonna call the dealer tomorrow and ask them about it...hopefully it CAN lock and unlock the doors, but I dunno. If it can't then I'm sure that they have another one that can.

Any and all ideas are still welcomed!!

 

My wifes TDS has three buttons (one is for remote starting). It is for a 98 though. I didn't know any 2nd gens had a TDS, but I've heard these where dealer installed before Toyota started putting in alarms in 99. Thats what I was told by my dealer. They gave me a photo copy manual on the TDS's.
