The No Doors rule is a state-to-state thing.
You'll have to check your local listings for that.
As for ease, it's not too hard, just heavy.
If you have wires that run from the door into the cab, then it may pose a small problem. Maybe you can replace them with contact patches, but then it would only work when the door is closed.
Just a thought.

You have to run mirrors of some type on the sides if you take them off. Also to be 100% legal I think you have to have some sort of ridge along the floor to keep things from falling out around turns.

like what has been stated, it is a state to state thing. i do know here in illinois, all you need is your rearview and drivers side mirror, or both outsides.
you could take them off, or you could just get a set or junkyard doors and make half doors. it is really quite easy.
