Tacoma questions

I am starting the research on a new project I would like to tackle - 4cyl Turbo Tacoma.
I have a few questions for any who can answer:

What is the difference between the 2RZ and 3RZ engine?

How many valves per cylinder do these engines have?

Are there other Tacoma forums?

Thanks in advance!

Without doing some research, I can answer the final question off the top of my head. Yes, there are several Tacoma forums. The largest is the TTORA national forum. Click Here for 3000+ rabid Tacoma fans/owners

I don't know much about the 4 cyl's, I am 6 cyl kind of guy, but there's a bunch of them on there...

i dont know about the 2RZ 3RZ ˟˟˟˟˟, but i can tell you this much: you can get either a 2.4L, 2.7L or the 3.4 V6.

i am not sure about valves/cylinder. give me a minute i'll go see if i can find out.

other tacoma forums? yeah. check out tacomaterritory.com
it is a little confusing and was a little hard to get registered. but check it out. ill get back to you on the valves/cyl.

I've got a 2.7L I-4.
Yeah, what the other guy said, 4 valves per cylinder. The 2.4 and 2.7 are the same motor...however the 2.7 is bored out (honestly I don't know enough about engines to explain that one).

If the choice is there, go with the 2.7.

I love the engine, it's a built like a rock. Plenty of places to get aftermarket performance mods also...
