Thumbs up Tacoma Owners Post Here!

Since Corey was kind enough to float the idea a Tacoma section here on the forums, I have been wondering just how many of us there were.

I know this board is mostly 4Runners, with a smattering of Tacoma's, older trucks and various other Toyota vehicles mixed in.

"You could set my truck on fire and roll it down a hill,
and i still wouldn't trade it for a coupe de ville.
I'v got an '6' foot bed that never has to be made,
you know if it weren't for trucks we wouldn't have tail gates.
I met all my wives in traffic james theres just somethin women
like about a pickup man

Most Friday nights I can be found,
in the bed of my truck on an old chaise lounge.
Backed into my spot at the drive in show
You know a cargo-light sets off a romantic glow.
I never have to wait in line at the popcorn stand
cause theres somethin women like about a pickup man"

Re: Tacoma Owners Post Here!

I got my first truck when I was 3,
Drove 100,000 miles on my knees.
I hauled marbles and rocks and thought twice before
I hauled a barbie doll bed for the girl next door.
She tried to pay me with a kiss and I began to understand...
There's something women like about a pickup man.

That sounds like a heck of a deal, but my charger won't do you much good Something about my having two more cylinders to begin with... So, I guess you are on your own.

Another Taco' here in Ct. I just joined the New England chapter of TTORA. My truck is pertty new but as you can see below in my signiture, I have wasted no time in getting some extra goodies. This is my fifth truck (I had a Ranger, Bronco II, Nissan Xtra cab, and a Pathfinder), the others were all good vehicles but none come even close to the quality of this Tacoma Doublecab. I am hooked on Toyota...hook...line...and sinker.

I know there are alot more of us out there so keep the posts comming.

dragonbud, 2krunner and wheeler - welcome, and nice looking trucks!

you guys will like this forum a lot, it has really helped me a lot and i have only been here a few months.

tomus1000 - this is also my first toy, and i like it very very much. my mom used to have a 94 5 spd runner, 4x4. but that was a while ago, i think like 3 years.. maybe more, probably like 5 years+ because i dont really remember it too well, but i really liked it as a kid.

Corey,

Thank you very much for the compliment and for pointing me towards this board. Our national TTORA board can get a bit bogged down at times with drama, so it is nice to find a refreshing place especially if Rob is here also. He is a great guy with tons of information. I'm hoping to get that Yakima rack squared away pretty soon and also purchase one of the new Badland Bumpers front Tacoma bumpers. I really like them. Take care bud and be safe!

Clay

I take it you have seen a few of my posts with Jeff's new Tack front bumper?
I like that bumper very much.

If this board is going to get a lot busier with Tacomas, I have been debating to add a Taco category to the lineup.

Right now all the trucks & 4Runner post in this section.
I don't think it will divide us up any, as I check both this and the off road section, as well as the off topic on daily.

It might be nice to have a separate Taco area too for discussions that mainly apply to the suspension setup since the Tacos are much different from the pre Taco ones.

So I take it there are a lot of Taco owners out there from the various TTORA sites that might stop by here?

We can always try the new board as an experiement and see how it goes.
Corey

I really don't have any input on the board layout. I kind of like reading about the 4Runners right along side the Taco's, but that's just me. I'm not sure that there will be a lot of TTORA guys that come by because many of the active state chapters have started outstanding local message boards and have drifted from the main board unless they need information about a particular topic. The main board has been around a long time and the search feature offers quite a bit of documented threads relating to just about anything you can do to or with a Taco. I will let everyone from my chapter know about this though, because I think it is a good thing. You can never get too much information in my opinion. Anyway, thanks for the invite to your board. Take care.
