Tacoma 2.7 inconsistent missfire

Ive got a 96 tacoma 2.7 auto 4x4. Its missing, usually when cold, or if its raining. Idles great, runs great, has plenty of power. Just misses randomly when heading to work, sometimes its fine sometimes it acts up. Rain seems to make symptoms worse. Codes are P0301 cyl 1 miss, maf circuit malfunction, hasnt thrown a random miss code since work has been done. I originally thought it was a burnt valve, pulled the head sent it off had it decked, cleaned, valve job done, and re shimmed all the buckets to spec. Compression is right at 180 in all cylinders. 200k miles.A few of the intake valves needed touching up, 2 exhaust valves needed replacing in cyl 1 and cyl 3. Put it all back together, cleaned the intake, tb, iac, and egr. New injectors, new maf, new plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor. Zero vacuum leaks, zero leaks at all. I have the exact same issues as before. Could use a little help and opinions on what may be going on or similar experiences. Thanks.

Kind of a dumb question here but did you check your mass air flow sensor since it threw a code for it? Have you checked the plugs and ignition system at all?

Yes it has a new mass airflow now. Plugs, wires, cap and rotor are all new. I have no codes now after ive run it around 40 miles since the head job. Still the same inconsistent miss, im starting to think it may be either the distributor itself, or possibly fuel regulator, mabe something causing fuel pressure drop during acceleration.

Put a fuel pressure gauge in it to see what it says. You can do it off the shrader valve on the fuel rail
