Switching heater knobs to rotary control knobs
Does anyone know if this would be possible, or better yet, somewhat easy??
I have a 97 taco and really like the looks of the rotary heater control ect. on the 98 and up models. I am just curious if this is possible or if anyone has seen it done???
Thanks-

There's a lot more to it than the knobs. The newer version is electrically-controlled (as opposed to the cable-driven older system). If you go to the '03 online FSM ( http://fsm.afraid.org ) and look at the controls diagram in the AC section you'll see that there's also a circuit board inside the control assembly. My suspicion is that you'd basically have to swap out a lot of your heat / AC system to convert to electrical controls just to have the benefit of the knobs...
