switch for TC lock-up

I've got a 90 4Runner SR5, 3.0, auto, 4WD.
Is there a wire a can splice a toggle switch in to that will keep the torque converter from locking up? In other words, switch on - normal operation, switch off - no power or signal to the TC so it stays unlocked even in overdrive.

Thanks for any input,
Scott

i understand why. at least with my transmission, when going up a hill and it kicks down, it will kick from say 2k rpm to 2500, and then again to 3000. if you disengage od, it goes straight to 3k. it would be nice if we had a way to keep it at the 2500 mark, basically locking (or unlocking) the TC.

sadly, no idea. good luck in your search.

This thread maybe of some interest to you. I know its for T100's but the company the guy bought the kit from to manually shift his truck also has a manual TC lock up http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/showfl...=&fpart=1&vc=1
