Swapping axles, couple of Q's
Running the 6-7" of rear lift on the stock links is not working that well. Its fine on-road but offroad I feel as if my body mounts might break off. Its way too stiff back there and I've lost all my downtravel.
So I am going to do a rear leaf conversion. I dont feel like grinding off everything on my axle and re-welding things back on to it, so I've decided to just buy a e-locker Tacoma housing with shock mounts and spring perches already welded to it.
My questions are this:
1) Will my elocker third be a direct bolt in to the Tacoma elocker housing?
2) Will my axle shafts work in the new axle?
3) Will I need to buy new axle seals?
4) What else should I know ? I've never done any axle work... do you guys think switching out everything into a Tacoma elocker housing will be a somewhat easy task?
Thanks for any helps or heads up that I should know about.

Yes your e-locker will bolt right up. axle shafts should be the same as well. The e-locker axles were just a regular Toy 8" modified to fit the elocker thirds, all of them are the same. I would replace all the seals.

Okay cool, good to know!
I actually just went and looked at my current axle. It appears that I could get away with out cutting anything off of it....
It looks like the spring perches would fit w/o interference. ?!
