Supra rear end??

Will a Supra rear end out of 86 model fit on a 2wd 83 model truck? I want the locker out of it and they are one in the classifieds pretty cheap. I can't remember what year it was it interchanged. I think it was up to 85, had the same rearends.

the whole rear end isnt going to fit... maybe the actual third member will htough if its the removeable 8" type... however, being from that year supra, its only a limited slip differential, and LSD are better than open but nowhere near being close to the dependibility and reliability of a real locker.... but being that old, its probably pretty beat up... most likely be a better idea to buy a new LSD like an auburn or a real locker if you are worried about having traction.... i wouldnt trust a 20+ year old LSD as there is no way to tell what its been through.....

supra has independant rear suspension...

for the hassle of putting the LSD into a truck rear end, you might as well just buy a truetrac.

I just installed a supra limited slip carrier into my stock 87 housing. You have to do some mixing and matching of the side bearings is all...
