supercharger$$$$

Curious as to what people have paid for their charger and if someone could get me one for a really good price? Don't mean to be rude by asking price but hey i'm only 19 and don't have all the money in the world or the parents to buy things like that for me. They just pay for a roof over my head and food on the table...good enough for me!!!
Anyway thank for the input

My father got a coupon for 20% off Toyota parts from his local dealership and they honored it for his TRD supercharger. He also got them to install it for free. He knows the guys there pretty well, and since they have never seen one of the superchargers, and had never installed one, he acted as their "gunnie pig" and got them to do it for free.

Those two are options to consider when talking to your local dealership. Worth a shot I guess!

Ebay always has a couple up for bid, a lot of times they go for around $2000.00 or less.

Group buy?

Several weeks ago, someone was trying to put together a group buy. I haven't heard anything since.

I lucked out.

Im always searching Ebay and picked up my 2nd gen s/c with the new tensioner for $1750. That was the best price I found. I installed it myself in about 5 hours.

As far as I know, there is no intercooler for our application. I use the stock pullies and it works like a champ!

Intercooler

If there was one available, where would it go? Between the butterfly and the SC?

There is no place to port an intercooler to a TRD S/C. You may be able to make a custom piece to go between it, but as of yet I have not heard of anyone doing it.

As far as performance, if you are at sea level you may need to install bigger injectors and fuel mangement electronics in order to get ping and fuel leaning out issues under control.

Also, it has been shown that the transmission valve body upgrade is a good investment to saving your transmission from being overworked.

Here is a list of recommended performance and trouble prevention mods:

305cc Supra Injectors / 330cc Injectors
A'PEXi super AFC
Split Second TMC 1.1
Split Secont ARM1
Level 10 Valve body work
TRD or Hayden tranny cooler

Split second has just came out with a new device that will replace the Apexi SAFC, SS TMC1.1 and ARM1, this is an all in one Fuel Timing Calibrator and seems to be a pretty good system for the leaning out and ping isssues of the TRD Superchager.

Cheers

3-0

Nobody makes a kit for the 3.0...yet. I've been doing research for a month or so on what can be pulled together with stock and modifed parts. I found some great info today. I'll keep everyone posted...

There's a great deal on a supercharger right now on ebay (not mine).

Buy it now for $2100.

I wish I could buy it, but I'm still trying to recover from the lockers. Someone buy it quick before I do something I might regret.

Email Jessie Sierra at JSierra@sterlingmccalltoyota.com. I'm not sure he still has some in stock, but that's where I just got mine for $1700. Tell him Chris Rademacher sent you!

Actually, I think Gadget knows of someone who intercooled a 1st generation TRD s/c. I forgot where I read about it though. maybe he'll chime in.
